Masked Gunmen Break In To Raleigh Home

Posted May 23, 1997

— What started as a quiet night at home turned into quite a scare for a Raleigh woman and her son.

Three men wearing masks and carrying guns burst into Flora Price's home on Boyer Street. They held her son hostage while forcing her to go a block away and get money from her place of employment. Police say she found some money at the check cashing business, gave it to the gunmen and they drove away.

Police say an officer saw a person and vehicle leave the scene. Neither Price nor her son was hurt.
