FAYETTEVILLE — Pizza delivery drivers in Fayettevilleare facing tough problems on the job. The drivers have become anincreasingly frequent target of criminals. Sunday night, two robbersattacked a a driver with a sledgehammer and took his money.
Now pizza outlets are beginning to take more precautions.Many have installed Caller ID so they can call customers back to ensure the order is legitimate.
Pizza services want to get the word out that robbing delivery driversisn't exactly a lucrative endeavor. Drivers usually carry less than $20with them.
