FAYETTEVILLE — A 9-year-old boy died Friday due toinjuries suffered in an accident Thursday night.
Jeffrey Armstrong was riding his bike on Purdue Drive when he veeredinto a moving pickup truck. The truck swerved, but the car behind thetruck hit the boy.
The child was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center hospitalwhere he remained on life support throughout the day Friday. He waspronounced dead late Friday afternoon.
No charges have been filed in connection with the accident.
