Eufala Residents May Be Moved

FAYETTEVILLE — Some Fayetteville residents may be one step closer to moving away from a very bad smell. They live on Eufala Street which borders Cumberland County's landfill.
The county paid to move about 30 families away from the dump a few years ago, but the remaining 15 families didn't get money to move.
Wednesday, the Fayetteville Redevelopment Commission voted to spend $700,000 dollars to enable the remaining residents to move. The measure must still be approved by the city council, which earlier this year refused to move the families.
