FAYETTEVILLE — One person is dead, another seriouslyinjured, after the truck in which they were riding struck a tree inCumberland County.
The Highway Patrol says about 2 Sunday morning, a driver speeding downCarl Freeman Road lost control of the car. The vehicle flipped severaltimes before smashing into the tree.
Troopers said one victim was thrown about 150 feet.
There's no word on their identities, nor of the condition of thesurvivor.
