Proposed Arena Faces More Questions

RALEIGH — There's yet another wrinkle in the plans for a proposed arena in Raleigh. North Carolina State Chancellor Larry Monteith says the school will chip in for the project, but only if the arena is built in line with school specifications.
Among things State wants are a say in naming the building, input on the color of seats, and a slot on the Centennial Authority, which is the main fundraising group for the arena.
The university is openly discussing renovating Reynolds Coliseum and scrapping plans for the new $120 million facility.
