CHAPEL HILL — A Chapel Hill adult establishment may beforced to close its doors because it violates an obscure state statute.
Police say owners of the Spectrum run an illegal business because thestore sells adult magazines, movies and other products. Under state law, abuilding is not allowed to contain more than one adultestablishment, and there is another in the same shopping center.
Owners of the threatened business will have a chance to defend theirright to operate the store in court.
