DURHAM — Leaders of a Durham synagogue will have torepaint their house of worship after vandals spray-painted part of thetemple.
The staff covered up most of the grafitti with cardboard. Rabbi JohnFriedman of the Judeah Reform congregation says he's convinced thepainting was a prank, not an act of hate, and that he's trying to keepthe incident in perspective.
The vandalism occurred sometime between late Monday night and earlyTuesday morning.
Durham police are investigating.
