RALEIGH — A little boy remains hospitalized as a convicted drunk driver is charged again following an accident in Raleigh Sunday.
Police say a 6-year-old was struck and seriously injured on Jones Street Sunday afternoon. Investigators have charged the driver of the vehicle that struck the child with DWI and driving with a revoked license.
Melvin MacClain, 50, had his license revoked last year after a different DWI conviction.
The child is now listed in critical condition at Wake Medical Center. More charges could be filed against MacClain if the boy does not survive.
