RALEIGH — The Research Triangle area has experience rapid growth for several years, but a milestone has now been reached.
The latest figures from the U.S. Census Bureau show the area's population has surpassed the 1 million mark. All but one of the six Triangle Counties reported growth of more than 10 percent between 1990 and 1996.
