RALEIGH — The North Carolina State student who was arrested Wednesday and charged in connection with the death of LaCoy McQueen appeared before a Wake County judge Thursday.
Chris Lawing now faces a probable cause hearing April 2. Currently, he is being held without bond in the Wake County jail.
Raleigh police say Lawing killed his former girlfriend after the couple argued about her pregnancy.
McQueen had been missing since May. Her remains were found earlier this week in a wooded area by a road construction crew.
