FAYETTEVILLE — A foster mother has been charged withallowing a small child in her care to be assaulted.
Cumberland County deputies say Althoria Clayton should have preventedher own 13-year-old daughter from dropping or throwing a 4-year-old on herhead in January. The younger child remained in a coma for three weeks.Clayton's 13-year-old daughter was charged with assault.
Clayton was also accused of breaking the leg of another foster childtwo years ago.
