Rocky Mount Police Arrest New York Fugitives

ROCKY MOUNT — New York Police called learned two menwanted in New York were living in Rocky Mount, so they called police here for help. When Rocky Mount police arrived at the house, it turned outthere were actuallythreemale fugitives hiding out, along witha woman.

While searching the home at 324-D Hill Street, 12 Rocky Mount officersfound drugs, guns, an 8-foot python, a pit bull and a cache of stolenproperty.

Police arrested 21-year-old Zacherie Santiago, aka Andre Harper, oncharges of possessing crack cocaine and stolen property, as well as the fugitive charge. Also arrested were 21-year-old Reginald MagloreAugustine, Santiago's brother, on similar charges. Both are wanted for homicide in New York.

Ajamu Osborne, aka Justice McCray, whom New York police did not suspectwas in Rocky Mount, was charged with possessing crack cocaine, drugparaphernalia and stolen property. He is wanted on a drug-related shootingcharge in New York. Osborne, Santiago and Augustine are being held withoutbond.

Theresa Shepard Leshanay, 20, is charged with possession of crack cocaineand drug paraphernalia. She is being held on $20,000 bond.

All are being held in Edgecombe County Jail.
