RALEIGH — Two Wake County convenience stores were hit by robbers Friday night, and investigators think the crimes could be linked to previous ones.
The latest events involved two black males armed with handguns entering the stores around 11 p.m. Friday.
Investigators say there has been a rash of similar robberies in the area, most recently on Wednesday. In that occurrence, robbers entered a Zebulon grocery store in broad daylight.
