Tip Leads to End of Stolen Goods Ring

e-mail print friendly

A major stolen goods ring has been put out of business in Cumberland County, and it was a simple tip from a private citizen that led to the bust.

Deputies confiscated $100,000 worth of stolen items including golf carts, computers and guns. Investigators arrested three men. Gary Parker is believed to be the leader of the crime ring.

Lt. James Black of the Cumberland County Sheriff's department said they have no idea how long the ring has been in business.

Deputies say serial numbers will help them get most of the items back to their owners.
