ROSEBORO — Two years after a double murder, a Sampson County jury must decide if the killer deserves the death penalty.
Johnny Parker was convicted Monday on first degree murder charges in connection with the deaths of former councilman James Buchanan and Jerry Dowdy. Police found the victims' bodies in their burning duplex in 1994.
