CLAYTON — A Harnett County pastor no longer faces charges of child abuse. Reverend Bob McArthur was convicted of beating two children in his congregation at the House of Prayer in Clayton.
Now a jury has overturned that conviction saying the abuse evidence pointed more toward the children's mother.
Accessory abuse charges were also dropped against the children's father.
