LILLINGTON — A Harnett County man is dead after a fire early Thursday morning.
Flames engulfed two trailers shortly after 4 a.m. There were four people inside. Three of them made it out alive, but 56-year-old Preston Council did not.
Inez Bullock remembered Council as a man who "was like a brother to all of us. He's been a friend of the family for years."
A 7-month-old baby was treated and released. Two women were taken to UNC's burn center. Their injuries are not life threatening.
Investigators say the fire was accidental.
