NASHVILLE, Tenn. — The WRAL-TV5 News Team was all smiles in Nashville last night -- and they had eight special reasons to do so.
The occasion was the 11th annual Mid-South Regional Emmy Awards Ceremony. And WRAL staffers are packing eight Emmys in their suitcases for the return trip to the Triangle.
WRAL-TV5 News picked up awards for news excellence, best newscast, best hard news series and investigative reporting.
In his remarks to the Nashville audience, WRAL-TV5 news anchor David Crabtree said, "Nothing is sweeter than to win this," as he held one of the station's Emmys.
