It's Do-or-Die for Arena

RALEIGH — The time has come for Wake County and Raleigh decision-makers to, as they say, put up or shut up if they want a shot at a National Hockey League expansion team here.
Prospective owner Felix Sabates says he needs an arena lease by Friday or he'll pull out of negotiations.
Those on the committee to raise funds for the arena say they can't reach an agreement until city and county officials work out their differences.
Sims Hinds of the Centennial Authority says he's taking a wait-and-see attitude about Sabates' alleged timetable.
Business leaders and arena supporters will meet with Sabates in Florida Friday, where they hope to buy some time to keep franchise hopes alive.
