FAYETTEVILLE — It's hoped that cooler heads will prevail at Terry Sanford High School today. Police say a student used a razor to settle a disagreement there yesterday.
Officers say 16-year-old Shelby Toney used a razor to slash the face of Jesse Johnson, 16. The attack left a 3-inch gash in Johnson's cheek.
Toney is charged with assault and carrying a weapon on school grounds. Four other teens face charges of fighting. They could be expelled from school.
The fight occurred in the Sanford High cafeteria.
