RALEIGH — Beginning Monday, February 3, and continuing through April 15, there will be free tax assistance available for the elderly and for low income families.

Meanwhile, the North Carolina Department of Revenue is providing assistance with state tax returns at its Raleigh offices at 510 Wilmington Street.
In Durham, the office is located at 3326-D Chapel Hill Blvd. with hours of 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday.
In order to get help with state taxes, your federal return must be completed.
