Firefighters in Wilson had an early wake-up call Wednesday, when they received reports of smoke coming from a tobacco warehouse.

Bob Clark's Tobacco Warehouse on South Douglas Street ignited about about 2 a.m. Officials are investigating the possibility of arson because suspicious circumstances were found under the warehouse.

Battalion Chief Thomas Parker of the Wilson Fire and Rescue Squad said they are not sure of a cause, but are looking at the possibility of some type of flammable liquid being used.

Investigators say they found two burned areas beneath the building, and three to four others inside the structure. No serious damage was reported.
