FAYETTEVILLE — Police say they have arrested one of the two men who held up a convenience store with butcher knives, but they could have had no luck locating the other.
Andrew Mullins, 16, was arrested and charged with several armed robberies in Fayetteville and Spring Lake. His alleged partner, 18-year-old Russell Howard, remains at large.
The so-called butcher knife bandits are considered suspects in as many as a dozen robberies in Cumberland County.
