DURHAM — Ossie Davis is a respected actor who has appeared in such films as "Grumply Old Men" and "The Client". He has also devoted a great deal of time to the promotion of civil rights. Davis was the keynote speaker at Duke's Martin Luther King commemorative service Sunday night.
Davis reflected on King's struggles and thoughts, ideas he says can still work today.
Davis has recently completed his first novel about young people in the civil rights movement titled "Just Like Martin".
