FAYETTEVILLE — A Fayetteville police officer who accuses the police chief of racism is building his case. Gregory Williams has opened up his personnel file to investigators.

The file reportedly shows that when Williams refused to provide the names of other black officers who had racial bias complaints, he was suspended and nearly fired.

The N.A.A.C.P. says that is not the only example of such behavior in the department.

Fayetteville City Council is looking into the allegations.
