RALEIGH — Raleigh police hope a new poster will help them solve the murders of six African-American women. Photographs of five of the victims appear on the poster.
All of the victims had a history of involvement either with drugs or prostitution. Most were strangled to death.
Last Wednesday, police arrested 60-year-old Leman Evans and charged him in connection with the death of DeWanna Burt whose body was found in a parking lot last January. Her likeness is not on the new poster.
