WENDELL — A spate of burglaries has residents uneasy in eastern Wake County. There have been 38 burglaries in just over a months.
Most of the break-ins happened between Highways 70 and 401 and records show robberies are up 85 percent from a year ago in that area.
Wake County Deputies have made several arrests and recovered some merchandise, but the department set up a hotline for people to call in with information.
Captain Charles Young of the Wake County Sheriff's department says there aren't many leads.
