PARKTON — Law officers are searching for the personresponsible for a hit and run accident that took the life of a Parktonwoman.
Tammy Carter, 38, was found on the side of Washington Street Saturdaynight.
The accident happened just outside Parkton in the northern part ofRobeson County.
Investigators say Carter was walking in the eastbound lane of the roadwhen she was struck by a car about 6 p.m.
