Over 2000 Walk for AIDS

Posted December 10, 1996

— Despite the rain and cool weather over the weekend, the Triangle AIDS Interfaith Network weathered the great outdoors and raised some big money for their cause.

Over 2,200 people turned out in downtown Raleigh for the second annual AIDS Walk. All together, they raised $70,000 even before all the pledges and donations were counted.

The organization hopes to reach its goal of $100,000 for AIDS service agencies.
