RALEIGH — A Raleigh Christmas tradition continued Monday night with the lighting of the WRAL-TV5 broadcast tower on Western Boulevard.
Just before 6:30 p.m., the 300-plus-foot tower came alive with color as thousands of bulbs were illuminated, making it a visual landmark during the holiday season.
The lighting ceremony started at 5 p.m. with the North Stars, a children's chorus from Northwoods Elementary in Cary. News anchor Pam Saulsby and Chief Meteorologist Greg Fishel hosted the lighting ceremony.
