ROCKY MOUNT — A man police describe as the primesuspect in connection with the shooting death of a 13-year-old Rocky Mountboy is finally behind bars.
Thursday, police in Lexington, KY apprehended 43-year-old Alfonzo"Cokey" Taylor of Rocky Mount as the result of a first degree murder warrantobtained against Taylor by the Rocky Mount police. They say they hadquestioned the suspect twice before he fled to Kentucky.
Two weeks ago, Taylor allegedly fired three shots into a Rocky Mountconvenience store about an hour after a dispute over change from hispurchase. One of the shots struck and killed Ahmad Abughannam, the storeowner's son.
