Trucker's Case Continued Again

DURHAM — The trial of a Virginia truck driver charged in an August accident that killed eight people was postponed again Monday,
Esau Dixon faces eight counts of misdemeanor death by motor vehicle. His truck plowed into a line of stopped traffic on Interstate 85.
Relatives of some of the people killed in the crash told WRAL-TV5 that they plan to file wrongful death civil lawsuits against Dixon.
Veronica Williams, sister of one of the victims, says she thinks it was Dixon's negligence that caused the accident.
The speedometer in the truck showed Dixon was traveling about 10 miles over the "suggested" speed limit in the construction zone where the accident occurred.
Dixon is due in court again in December.
