Volunteers to Help Those Still Fighting Fran
Posted November 7, 1996
RALEIGH — It's been over two months since Hurricane Fran uprooted much of the Triangle, but some people are still trying to cope with downed trees and damaged homes. The elderly and disabled are having a particularly hard time, but even at this late date, there is some help on the way.
Volunteers from Michigan are scheduled to arrive in the Triangle Thursday. The 200 helpers will spend three days trying to assist people in need.
