Accused Spy Will Be Heard in Court

FORT BRAGG — A military judge has decided acourt-martial panelwillhear statements made by an accused spyat Fort Bragg.

Pfc. Eric Jenott is charged with espionage after allegedly breakinginto an Army computer and sharing the password with a Chinese citizen.

Jenott showed his commanders and, later, investigators, what he coulddo. He and his family say he did so to enable the Army to correct aweakness in the security of a key communication system.

The defense wanted the judge to disallow those statements, but thejudge rejected that motion Thursday.

The court-martial is scheduled for December.
