CARRBORO — A silent Jesse Helms heckler made astatement by placing derogatory posters in bus stops in Carrboro andChapel Hill.
The posters, officials say, are not easy to get rid of. Removal, theysay will cost taxpayers up to $800 just in Carrboro.
Similar posters were found in Charlotte.
Police say they are close to catching up with the person responsiblefor placing the signs illegally on public property.
