ROCKY MOUNT — Three teens convicted of murder have served their time, now they want to go back to school, and that has someNash County parents worried.
Two of them enrolled at Rocky Mount Senior High this term, but have nowbeen suspended. The third tried to enroll at Northern Nash High when anadministrator recognized his name.
All three were convicted of beating a man to death in Rocky Mount inNovember of 1994.
Some parents say they think the boysshould not be allowed to attend school.
By state law, administrators have three options. They can expel thethree, send them to the County alternative School, or allow them to stayat their current schools.
Board members are expected to make their decision at a Tuesday nightmeeting.
