RALEIGH — A bridge over Western Blvd. in Raleighstopped a tractor-trailer dead in its tracks Monday morning.
The 18-wheeler, which was carrying a tractor that had been used in theHurricane Fran clean-up effort, slammed into the Interstate-440 overpass.Some bridge supports were dented, but police say there was no seriousstructural damage.
No one was injured in connection with the mishap.
