Cary Police Looking For Couple Suspected of Theft

— Cary police are issuing a warning for shoppers to keep a close eye on their purses and wallets.

Detectives say that a man and women distracted a shopper at the Target located at Cary's Crossroads Shopping Center and stole her wallet.

Before the woman realized her wallet was missing, police say the couple had charged thousands of dollars in merchandise from nearby Circuit City and Service Merchandise stores.

The couple was caught on survelliance tape. Anyone who recognizes the man and woman pictured should call Crimestoppers at 919-226-CRIME.

Investigators think that they may be linked to other identity theft crimes.
