Posted September 27, 2001

— The Harnett County EMS is dismissing a complaint from a man severely burned when his lawnmower blew up.

Willie Sprouse

says paramedics from Anderson Creek Rescue argued for 20 minutes before they finally took him to the hospital. The EMS director says Sprouses complaint was investigated and no workers were at fault.

Officials say the EMS crew was there for 16 minutes, but they were trying to coordinate personnel for a firefighter suffering from heat exhaustion.
