FAYETTEVILLE — The Fayetteville economy is taking another hit with a new round of plant layoffs.
Monsanto has announced it will lay off all 122 employees. The company makes the herbicide Roundup.
Owners say the Fayetteville facility is not as cost-efficient as its other facilities. The plant will cease operations at the end of this year.
Monsanto is trying to relocate employees and offer severance packages.
