RDU International Slowly Tries To Return To Normal
Posted September 17, 2001
RDU INTERNATIONAL — Air travel at Raleigh-Durham International continues to struggle to get off the ground.
Airlines continue to work out security issues and deal with scheduling problems. Terminal A was almost deserted Monday afternoon.
Security workers seem to be checking every piece of luggage when times are slow.
WRAL has no specific information from the airport about the number of flights in and out of RDU Monday; however, service is nowhere near the levels of last week and likely never will be.
