Area Ministers Call For Day Of Prayer, Fasting
Posted September 14, 2001
FAYETTEVILLE — In light of the terrorist attacks in New York and on the Pentagon, members of the clergy are asking citizens to take part in a day of fasting and prayer.
Ministers say this is a time to pray and humble ourselves so that God will grant favor on our leadership and armed forces.
Cumberland County clergy members say we especially need to pray for the safety of all branches of the armed forces.
Several other prayer services and vigils have been planned throughout the Triangle.
