Wilson Hosts Air Show Saturday

Posted Updated

WILSON — Dozens of planes will be landing in Wilson Saturday. Military and private model planes and helicopters are headed in for the town's air show.

The show gives air enthusiasts, especially kids, a close-up look at unusual vehicles. In fact, you can even take a short trip for the cheapest airfare around.

"We're doing air rides. For $15, we'll take people for a short ride around the airport and again, that's to promote aviation, to get kids involved, and get them interested in aviation," pilot Frank Kidd said.

The all-day show began at 7 a.m. at the Wilson Industrial Airport.

Admission and parking are free.
