FAYETTEVILLE — The design for a new veterans park in Fayetteville has been unveiled. It will be called Freedom park in honor of the men in Cumberland County who died in World War II, the Korean War and the Vietnam War.
The park will be located at the corner of Hay Street and Bragg Boulevard across the street from the Airborne and Special Operations Museum.
It will have a waterfall, fountains, and plenty of open space. Fayetteville's city council approved the plans for Freedom Park Monday night.
