Labor Day Brings Back Painful Memories For Cary Woman

CARY — Labor Day brings back painful memories to a woman in Cary.
Eight years ago this weekend, Ingrid Wright almost died. A drunk driver plowed into her car. The driver was sentenced to 16 months in jail. It took Ingrid a year and a half to recover from her injuries.
"It really has changed my life. You look upon things quite differently and you are ever so grateful every day you wake up," she says.
Wright is a volunteer and past president of the Wake County Chapter of Mothers Against Drunk Driving.
