Bullock was all smiles when he showed his fiancee, Debbie his new home.
"I love this house. It's going to be home for the two of us," Bullock said.
Bullock is 38 years old and is a homeowner for the first time.
Bullock has cerebral palsy and hydrocephaly, which causes a buildup of fluid on the brain. He could not walk until he was 8 and has endured dozens of surgeries. So far, he has defied the odds.
"I'm proud as a peacock," Bullock said of his new home.
Bullock knows owning a home means a lot of responsibility but, for now, he is just happy to have place he can call his own.
Bullock is the first person with a developmental disability to own a home built by Durham's Habitat for Humanity.
