Raleigh Apartment Residents Complain About Theft, Harassment

Posted Updated

RALEIGH — A Raleigh apartment complex, where many local college students live, is under fire from some of its tenants.

About a dozen frustrated residents of Thistledown Apartments, located off Gorman Street, joined together to confront management Wednesday afternoon.

Residents blame an apartment employee for a series of thefts and harassment, and they say that management is not doing enough to help them.

"I'm a customer in their business and I'm treated like I'm the one doing all this. I'm a victim. I'm a victim of bad business," says tenant Sharece Berry.

Residents also complain that perks they paid for, like a pool and driveway gates, were long delayed or never built.

Thistledown's management did not respond to WRAL's requests to talk to them.
