Dell Opens Second Manufacturing Facility in China

XIAMEN, CHINA — Dell

opened its second manufacturing facility in China on Tuesday.

The world's largest computer manufacturer, which has a new facility in Winston-Salem, N.C., said the facility would be used for the building of servers, storage systems, workstations, notebook computers and desktop computers.

The new factory, covering more than 500,000 square feet, was built to service customers in Japan, South Korea and Hong Kong. Dell's first plant in Xiamen services customers in China.
