Young Girl Dies In Beltline Crash

RALEIGH, N.C. — A 4-year-old girl is dead after a crash on the Inner Beltline.

The accident happened near the Rock Quarry Road exit. Raleigh police say an animal darted into traffic and caused several cars to swerve.

Two cars hit each other and 4-year-old Ta Leah Evans, who was a passenger in one of the cars, died instantly. Traffic was blocked for about two hours.

So far, no charges are filed. The crash is under investigation.
